About this policy
This policy explains how 360 SnapCircle — published by H3llo H3llo Ltd and known internally as "SpinCam 360" — accesses information on your iPhone. 360 SnapCircle is a camera app that turns your iPhone into a 360° video booth for events. The app runs primarily on-device. The only data that leaves your iPhone is what you explicitly choose to upload to your own cloud storage, and what Apple needs to process your subscription.
This policy supplements our main company privacy policy. Where there is any conflict, this app-specific policy takes precedence for 360 SnapCircle users.
What the app accesses on your device
Camera
- 360 SnapCircle uses your iPhone's rear and front cameras to capture video while the app is open
- Frames are processed on-device for live preview, motion-effect timing, and recording
- Apple's iOS permission prompt for camera will appear the first time you start a recording
Microphone
- Used to record audio alongside your video
- You can disable the microphone in Settings — when off, recordings are silent
- Audio is captured only while you are actively recording
Photo Library
- 360 SnapCircle saves finished recordings to your iOS Photos library
- The app uses the "Add Only" permission scope where possible — it does not browse or read your existing photos
Local Network
- Used to discover and pair with a second iPhone or iPad on the same Wi-Fi for remote-trigger and monitoring features
- Uses Apple's Bonjour service discovery — no data leaves your home or venue network
- The Pro external-camera feature (coming) uses the same local network channel to talk to Sony, Canon, or Nikon bodies
Cloud uploads (optional — you control)
360 SnapCircle can upload finished recordings to your own Dropbox or Google Drive. This is fully optional and happens only when you sign in and tap upload.
- Where the videos go: directly from your iPhone to your own cloud account. Our servers never see the video file — there is no intermediate upload to H3llo H3llo.
- Where the access tokens live: the OAuth access token Dropbox or Google issues to authorise uploads is stored in your iPhone's Keychain. It is never transmitted to us.
- QR-share links: when you generate a QR share, the resulting link points at the file in your own Dropbox or Google Drive. The link's access scope is controlled by you in those services.
- Revoking access: at any time you can revoke 360 SnapCircle's access from Dropbox connected apps or your Google account permissions, or by tapping "Delete Personal Booth Data" in the app's Settings.
What leaves your device
Only what you choose. 360 SnapCircle has no analytics SDKs, no advertising or tracking SDKs, and no third-party data brokers. The app initiates outbound network traffic in exactly three circumstances:
- Apple StoreKit — when you start, restore, or cancel a subscription. Apple processes payment data under Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Dropbox or Google Drive — only when you have signed into one of these and triggered an upload. The upload goes to your account.
- Optional crash reporting — if enabled in Settings, anonymous crash diagnostics are sent to Sentry. Crash reports contain no video, no audio, no personal information, no contact data — only the technical stack trace and device model. You can turn this off at any time.
What we don't collect
- No accounts — 360 SnapCircle has no signup. We hold no email address, no name, no profile.
- No marketing analytics — no Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Firebase, or similar.
- No advertising or tracking identifiers — we don't request IDFA (Apple's Advertising Identifier) and the app does not include any ad SDKs.
- No social-graph data — we don't look at your contacts, calendar, or other apps.
- No video content — your recordings are yours. We never see them.
Subscriptions and in-app purchases
360 SnapCircle is free to install. Premium features (all seven motion effects, no watermark, cloud sync, multi-device remote) are unlocked by a subscription billed by Apple:
- Premium · Weekly — £2.99 / week (auto-renewing)
- Premium · Yearly — £99 / year (auto-renewing)
Subscription purchase, renewal, restore, refund, and receipt validation are handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit. We do not see your Apple ID, payment details, or transaction history. Cancellation is via your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Diagnostics and crash reports
If you opt in (from Settings) to share crash reports with us, those reports are processed by Sentry on our behalf. They contain only the technical configuration of the failure — capture mode, effect preset in use, resolution, frame rate, and which lenses were active. They contain no video, no audio, no location, no file names, and no personal information. Sharing is always your choice and can be turned off at any time.
How we protect your data
Because 360 SnapCircle is on-device first, the iOS sandbox protects your recordings. Your videos are stored in the Photos library, governed by your iOS privacy settings. OAuth tokens for Dropbox and Google Drive are stored in the iOS Keychain, which uses iOS-standard encryption.
If you choose to upload to a cloud provider, that provider's security model takes over once the file leaves your iPhone — see Dropbox Privacy and Google Privacy.
Children
360 SnapCircle is intended for use by event hosts and content creators. The app is rated 4+ on the App Store but is not designed for children. Because we collect no information at all about any user, there is nothing about children specifically to retain or delete.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You have rights including access, rectification, erasure, portability, and objection. Because we hold no personal data about you, exercising most of these is straightforward:
- Access / portability: all your recordings are in your iOS Photos library and your own Dropbox or Google Drive — open those apps to view, share, or export them.
- Erasure: tap "Delete Personal Booth Data" in the app's Settings to wipe local videos, cached share links, the upload queue, and stored cloud tokens. Then delete the app from your iPhone. See the account & data deletion guide for the full process.
- Anything else: email us at darius@h3lloh3llo.co.uk and we'll respond within 30 days.
International data transfers
We're based in the United Kingdom. Apple, Dropbox, Google, and Sentry are all primarily operated from the United States and other countries. If you upload to one of those services, your data is transferred internationally under their own privacy frameworks — see each provider's policy linked above. We do not transfer your data ourselves because we do not hold it.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will change the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, surface a notice in the next app update.
