We are the data controller for information collected through our website and apps unless otherwise stated in an app-specific privacy policy.

What we collect

Information you give us

When you contact us, join a waitlist, or create an account, we may collect:

Your name and email address
Any message or feedback you send us
Account credentials (stored securely, passwords hashed)

DS Media and ClientCut email campaign

If you request the free Client-Ready Video Workflow Starter Pack, we collect your email address and the choices you make on the signup form so we can deliver the pack. The required choice is used for delivery only. If you separately opt in to the ClientCut newsletter, we also use your email address to send practical workflow emails, ClientCut updates and occasional offers for paid guides. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in each email.

We use MailerLite to host the signup page, store subscriber and consent records, deliver the pack, and run the email sequence. MailerLite also records which email links a recipient clicks and makes that activity visible in its campaign reporting. This is recipient-level email click reporting; MailerLite does not provide us with a setting to switch off ordinary link-click reporting. We do not use it for advertising or cross-site profiling. Email open tracking is disabled for this campaign.

For this campaign, we have disabled Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, PostHog, MailerLite visitor analytics and visitor click/heatmap tracking on the signup page. Campaign links do not include UTM tracking parameters. We do not use advertising cookies or add tracking to the ClientCut application as part of this campaign.

We do not sell personal information or share it with advertisers. MailerLite processes information on our behalf to provide its email and landing-page services. See MailerLite’s privacy policy for information about its own processing and service providers.

Who we share data with

We only share data with third parties when necessary to provide our services:

Hosting providers: To serve our website and apps
Email and landing-page provider (MailerLite): To manage campaign signups and preferences, deliver requested resources, and send marketing emails when you have opted in; its ordinary recipient-level email link-click reporting is described above
Payment processors: To handle payments (they have their own privacy policies)

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not give it to data brokers.

Where we store your data

Our service providers may process or store information in the locations described in their own terms and privacy information. We select providers with appropriate safeguards and expect them to protect personal data. MailerLite’s current documentation describes its processing locations, subprocessors and applicable transfer safeguards.

How long we keep your data

We keep your data only as long as necessary:

Account data: Until you delete your account
Email campaign subscribers: While needed to deliver the resource and, if you opted in, while you remain subscribed. After you unsubscribe, we may retain a minimal record needed to respect that choice and prevent further marketing.
Contact messages: Up to 2 years
Email delivery and click records: MailerLite retains campaign and recipient activity under its own retention practices; we use this information only for operating and understanding the email campaign, not advertising.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

Access: Request a copy of your personal data
Rectification: Correct inaccurate data
Erasure: Request deletion of your data
Portability: Receive your data in a portable format
Object: Object to certain processing
Withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent

Children's privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.
